Laboratories and Learning Resources Committee
This committee is in charge of making sure that the mechanical engineering department's laboratories follow best practices and offer the required equipment for conducting relevant research. Moreover, This Committee reviews and makes recommendations for services, and resources provided in the following areas: library, instructional Media Services, Learning Skills and Tutoring, Educational computing tools.

Responsibilities of the committee, supervisors and members
The committee is required to ensure the following duties:
1.Create pertinent guidelines and legislation for laboratory and learning resources exploitation.
2.Create, review, and update standard operating procedures for laboratories and health safety guidelines for chemical and laboratory safety created by national and international laboratories.
3.Meetings with all committee members on a regular basis to ensure proper usage of laboratories and library
4.Continually update the main stock book, the glassware and chemical usage logs, the lab use log, the equipment use log, and the maintenance log.
5.Every year, verify the equipment, glassware, and chemical inventories.
6.Every year, compile a list of the department's lab and learning resource requirements.
Laboratory Supervisor Responsibilities
- Inventory of equipment in laboratories and laboratories.
- Inventory of the laboratories' needs of devices and equipment with the
required specifications and the courses that depend on them.
- Inventory of the materials required to operate the laboratories for
students.
- Supervising the development of an annual plan to follow up requests for
maintenance of equipment and devices in the department's laboratories.
- Putting stickers on each device showing the device name and its
experiences.
- Supervising the preparation of a guide for experiments and tests for the
department's laboratories.
Learning Resources Supervisor Responsibilities
- Support the planning and evaluation efforts of the learning resources
center team in order to create a well-balanced collection.
- Organize, assess, and suggest rules for using the department's learning
resource center and its resources.
- To aid in the development and assessment of the learning resource's
short- and long-term objectives, and activities.
- To yearly assess the library's services and user categories, and to
recommend any necessary new or modified services or procedures.
- To support the evaluation and planning of new facilities, procedures, equipment, and services.
- To make sure that all faculty and students have access to the resources
required to support the purpose and program of the College through its planning
and evaluation initiatives.
