Community Partnership, Student and Alumni Council Committee
The mission of the
Community Partnership, Student, and Alumni Council Committee is to promote
engineering as a career option at the appropriate levels and to give workshops
and information about the engineering profession to students and educators. The
Committee engages in a number of activities throughout the year in order to
carry out this duty. Through community and extracurricular programs, these
activities might be either academic or nonacademic.

Responsibilities
of the committee, supervisors and members
The following responsibilities must be ensured by
the committee:
1.The committee must create regular (bi-annual)
progress reports.
2.Preparing forms for participation in community
partnership, student and alumni workshops and training
3.Establishing a database that includes workshops
that can be held within the framework of this committee
4.Coordinate community service events with the
college's community service program and the university's community service
deanship.
5.The committee should document all actions taken by
the committee during meetings in minutes, which should be made available to the
HOD and other members.
6.Assessing the department's involvement in alumni,
student, and community collaboration activities
Community Partnership Supervisor Responsibilities
- The community service supervisor and the college's community service
unit collaborate closely.
- Preparing seminars and workshops on department-related topics shared
with college units and serving the community.
- Arranging and managing activities in the department's subjects for
various community organizations with the assistance of a college unit.
- Arranging and managing community field trips for departmental staff and
students under the guidance of a college unit.
- Arranging and managing school students' visits in order to showcase the
department's capabilities and spark interest in the department's area of
expertise.
- Delivering workshops and using various media channels to introduce the
department's activities and capabilities.
Student Council Supervisor Responsibilities
- For the most part, the supervisor is in charge of the students' rights.
- Through the student club, the supervisor handles a variety of
extracurricular and community activities for the students.
- Clubs are a great way to educate students about the value of
extracurricular activities.
- Develop students’ skills in the personal, intellectual, social and
professional aspects, and activate their abilities to confront life’s
opportunities and difficulties with awareness and steadfastness
- Investing students’ free time in meaningful and useful programs to
reveal their talents and abilities and work on developing them
- Consolidation of social values such as cooperation, honorable competition,
constructive dialogue and acceptance of the other opinion
- Consolidating the concept of patriotism and the spirit of belonging to
the homeland
- Activating the department’s role in voluntary work and social
responsibility towards community
Alumni Supervisor Responsibilities
- Reap the benefits of the feedback on the Department's strategic planning
decisions.
- Consolidate the Department's partnerships with associated industrial and
engineering groups in order to establish the ideal conditions and supply the
necessary resources for the accomplishment of the department's educational and
industrial missions.
- Make frequent contact with alumni of the department
- Keeping up with the alumni database.
- Exploiting the network of alumni for job and training possibilities
- Promoting the alumni participation in departmental activities.
