About the Department
About the Department
The Department of Electrical
Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in Unaizah aims to graduate engineers
who contribute to advancing the civilizational development in the region and
the country in general. Electrical engineering studies explore and analyze
systems and devices of each of the power and communications networks as well as
electronics and integrated circuits.
This reflects the great importance
of the electrical engineer in the preparation, implementation and operation of
projects in the power grids, in addition to communications and electronic
industries, which contributes to advancing the development and progress of
mankind.
The Department of Electrical
Engineering in the college has two main tracks of study: the electrical power
engineering track and the electronics and communications engineering track.
The preparation of an electrical
engineer with a high competitiveness at the national level requires the
qualification of the student and his study of many courses, which include
mathematics, physics, chemistry, basics of engineering drawing, engineering
mechanics, basics of engineering technology, entrance to engineering design,
basics of electrical engineering such as electrical circuits Computer
programming, electromagnetism, logical design, electrical devices and
measurements, signal and systems analysis, electronics. These courses are
taught to all members of the power engineering and electronics and
communications engineering tracks.
Each track is unique in studying
specialized courses that serve the specialization of each track. The electrical
power track contains specialized courses that include the study of electrical
machines of all kinds, mechanical power engineering, principles of electrical
power systems, microprocessors and matching circuits, electrical power systems
analysis, power electronics, principles of control systems, high voltage
engineering, systems design, and electrical protection.
The members of the electronics and
communications engineering track are also unique in studying specialized
courses, which include decisions about signal and systems analysis, integrated
circuits, principles of communications, microprocessors and matching,
principles of network engineering, digital communications, principles of
control systems, technology and applications of integrated circuits, antennas.
And wave propagation, industrial electronics, analogue and digital filters,
telephone systems and call traffic analysis, optical communication networks,
securing computer networks, microwave engineering, satellite communications,
industrial driving devices and systems, digital control systems, network
architecture and protocols.
