Academic Advising Unit 

Academic advising is considered one of the pillars of university education in the Kingdom; as it aims to guide students to obtain the best results, adapt to the university environment and seize the opportunities available to them. By providing them with academic skills that raise the level of their educational attainment.

General Concepts 

• The Academic Advising and Support Unit is a unit established by a decision from the college’s dean and concerned with planning, coordinating, and supervising the implementation of the academic supervision process in the college. The unit is responsible to the college dean or the college’s vice dean for educational affairs.
• All faculty members is responsible for academic advising and not only just the Academic Advising and Support Unit. Therefore, all faculty members at the college will participate in the activities of academic supervision of students.
• The academic advisor is a faculty member who is assigned by the Academic Advising and Support Unit to carry out the task of academic advising for a group of college’s students.  

Founded 

The unit was established by a decision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Attiyah
